Okra or lady's finger for a Math brain

How to improve your child's Math skills?

Today in a competitive world parents resort to various techniques to improve the brain power of their children. They put them in various skill improvement courses and of all the courses, Math Courses like Abacus and Vedic math are their favourites. Definitely all these enhance the brain power of children.

Food also is equally important for the brain's development. There are a lot of super foods for this. The old grandmas home super food for a math brain is okra or lady's finger.

I have heard a lot about the goodness of lady's finger from almost all of my grandmother's generation. These oldies used to tease kids by asking a very tough multiplication problem like "14 multiplied by 16 equals???" (definitely tough for small kids) and used to enjoy when the kids went blank and stared at the walls. Then they would recommend them to eat a lot of lady's finger or okra to improve their math brain. Although at that age I never understood the connection between the slimy okra and math, I get a little surprised to see the goodness of okra being emphasized by all modern day health blogs. It has immense nutrients in it which goes to improve not only the brain but also many other systems in the human body. I believe okra helps one in brain development and also in improving the math skills of children.

It is not really easy to make children eat this type of veggies. Parents have to think of newer methods of using them in childrens' diet to improve math skills.

Various recipes can be tried from the internet and children need to be given okra in various forms so that they do not get bored with it. Okra curry, okra morekozhambu, lady's finger pachadi, okra sambar, bendi (Hindi name for lady's finger)masala, kadai bendi etc. are a few Indian recipes which can be tried at home.
