Saffron for vision

Saffron for good eyesight:

good vision or eyesight
Saffron or Kesar
It is an age old practice of Indian women to take a very minute quantity of saffron (kesar) with a glass of milk during pregnancy. It is believed that the child will be born with a very fair skin. No Indian mother would like her child to be dark skinned. I have not known a single Indian mother not adhering to this grandmas recipe for a fair skinned child. Hoping to have a fair skinned child mothers consume saffron. But the real reason behind this is that saffron helps in the development of good eyesight or vision in the child. Knowingly or unknowingly children are born with a good eyesight.

Children with poor eyesight can be given milk with saffron (kesar). Boil a 7-8 strands of saffron in milk till the milk get the orange colour. When boiled the saffron becomes very soft. Separate these strands and mash it again with clean fingers and again add it to the same milk. Add sugar to taste and give it to your child. This improves the vision of the child.

Caution: When you buy saffron, buy the best quality. Don't make any compromise. Gather knowledge on genuine saffron before you buy.
