Dandruff

Dandruff is a common hair problem which is very embarrassing and irritating. Very often it is itchy. The visible dry flakes in the hair makes us very uncomfortable. Dandruff in the initial stages can be treated with simple home remedies. The grandmas home remedy stated below works when the dandruff is in the initial stages and prevents it from recurring.

Tip 1.

Yoghurt and fenugrek

A paste of fenugrek seeds and yogurt (curd) solves the problem of dandruff. Soak a tablespoon of fenugrek seeds overnight (atleast 6 hours). Then grind the fenugrek with 2-3 tablespoons of yogurt (curd) and apply it on the scalp. Let the entire scalp get covered and allow it for about 30 minutes (maximum). Then wash it off. Again this may be a little difficult to remove from hair and requires a little bit of extra washing but it is still worth it. This can be done regularly.

Tip 2.
Squeeze a big sized lemon into a bowl and apply the lemon juice onto the scalp with fingers. Leave it for about 20-30 minutes and wash. Washing this is easy. Lemon has the property to remove dandruff.

Caution: Fenugrek and lemon are body coolants. So do not leave it on the hair for a longer duration as there is a chance of catching a cold. People who generally have a cool body may avoid this or try for shorter a shorter duration like 10 minutes.
